All contact lens wearers must have a contact lens evaluation annually.  This is separate from the routine eye and vision examination and allows Dr. Wilmes to determine the most accurate prescription, to analyze the fit of the lenses on the eyes, and to evaluate how the eyes will react to the material in the lenses.  Most importantly, however, it gives the patient an opportunity to ask questions about their current contact lenses and to discuss any potential problems that might arise with the wear of these medical devices.  This evaluation includes any and all follow-up visits regarding the contact lens prescription.

Be sure to ask about a variety of exciting contact lens options including:

  • Daily disposable contacts
  • Contact lenses for Astigmatism
  • Extended wear lenses (contacts made to be slept in)
  • Multifocal (bifocal) contact lenses
  • Colored contacts
  • Rigid Gas Permeable lenses (hard contact lenses)
  • Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT)
Are you new to contacts?  Just let the receptionist know you are a “new wearer” when you schedule your appointment and we will make the appropriate accommodations to teach you how to successfully wear your new lenses.
